Clashing press narratives of Trincomalee tensions
On November 18, newspapers reported on a tense situation in Trincomalee, over the reported installation of a Buddha statue. Editorials in the privately-owned Sinhala newspaper Divaina and the privately-owned Tamil newspaper Thamilan presented clashing narratives on the incident.
