Opposition to survey lands in Silavaththai
On June 17, local residents protested against the Survey Department’s plan to survey land in Silavaththai, Mullaitivu. Only the privately-owned Tamil TV channels Dan News and IBC Tamil allotted coverage to the protest in their primetime news telecasts.
